The feel at Amaro is that of a friendly, neighbourhood bar, while the service – and the drinks – are more akin to a five-star hotel bar. Amaro, the bar’s namesake bittersweet Italian liqueur, is a feature, of course, but there’s something for everyone on the drinks list here, with a focus on classics with a modern twist. Examples include an Apricot Daiquiri and the Pineapple Sidecar, which is made with fermented pineapple. The drinks are elegant with light dishes to accompany, all served by impeccably-dressed staff.
