The Emory
London, UK
Since making its debut in April 2024, The Emory has been the talk of London. The latest addition to The Maybourne Group’s glittering global lineup was designed by two greats of architecture: the late Richard Rogers and Ivan Harbour of RSHP architects. Together they have created a striking ‘sails’ structure, which soars above the trees of Hyde Park and the rooftops of Knightsbridge. As you’d expect from luxury-definers Maybourne, it is a suite-only hotel, with 61 rooms over nine floors. Each floor showcases the aesthetic of a specific interior or architectural designer – André Fu, Pierre-Yves Rochon, Alexandra Champalimaud and Patricia Urquiola among them, with a penthouse by Rigby & Rigby that occupies the entirety of the top floor. Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s ABC kitchens is the capital’s hottest dining spot right now, not only for the unpretentious plant-focused menu, but also the Rémi Tessier interiors and the Damien Hirsts on the walls. Afterwards, ascend to the Rooftop Bar for nightcaps. Hotel guests have exclusive access to Surrenne, a four-floor wellbeing private members’ club curated by industry experts including Tracy Anderson (Gwyneth Paltrow’s PT), Dr Lara Devgan and Rosemary Ferguson.
