Em Sherif Café

Doha, Qatar

With restaurants across the Middle East and Asia – which now includes Doha in India – Em Sherif Café (female-owned-and-run, no less) has developed a loyal legion of fans after a taste of its familiar-but-innovative Lebanese and Mediterranean mezze against a backdrop of pleasingly neutral (and Instagrammable) decor.Family-inspired plates come thick and fast from the all-day kitchen, from warak enab (stuffed grape leaves) and makanek (sausages with pomegranate molasses) to balila, (warm chickpeas) and batata maklieh (fried potatoes) sandwich. There’s even a Lebanese twist on a comforting mac ‘n’ cheese, while the signature burger isn’t to be sniffed at. It's also worht noting that Yasmina Hayek was named MENA's Best Female Chef 2025, before she'd even turned 30 years old.
