There’s a method to the success of this ridiculously hip and delicious restaurant in the Jumeirah Lakes Towers Park. It started out, rather mysteriously, as a ticketed supper club held at undisclosed locations around Dubai after dark. But it was so good, a permanent home was essential, even if the chef behind it remains an unknown enigma. The menu is modelled off of the hyped hawker street food found across Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand – and while fast casual, in theory, is highly sophisitcated and bold. Moody and dimly lit inside, with an iconic red neon hue throughout, it ticks a lot of boxes: banging tunes, cocktails that feel quite fitted to New York and a young crowd there to be seen and have a good time. Spot them slurping spicy drunken noodles or diving into sticky wings well into the night.
