Masque is one of Mumbai's most notable fine-dining restaurants, and in late 2021 the team opened The Living Room, a snug loft that takes residence in the restaurant's former private dining space (previously known as Upstairs). The environment feels true to its name, with big cosy armchairs and couches, house plants, well-worn books and a home-sized bar. The homey space fits only a few parties and features a limited menu of cocktails with local ingredients and progressive techniques. The signature drink, the Gamble, is made with pisco, mezcal, celery leaf, pink guava, ginger and sea buckthorn, which are blended and flash-frozen with liquid nitrogen, then filtered and served as a tall, crystal-clear cooler. The cocktails are only served at the bar and not the restaurant, so make a point of booking a spot.
